• CITIZEN CHARTER

    The citizen charter aims to provide knowledge regarding location of the hospital, quantum of services available in the hospital, quality of services they are provided in the hospital and procedure for any complaints or grievances in case it needs to be addressed.


    Overview

    The Government Institute of Medical Sciences (GIMS) Greater Noida, Gautam Buddha Nagar (UP) is an autonomous medical teaching institute established by the state Government of Uttar Pradesh established since the 15th February, 2016. The hospital caters about 1500-2000 patients every day on an OPD basis and about 200 patients in different departments are also admitted on daily basis.



    Location:

    GIMS is located in Greater Noida, near Kasna in Gautam Buddha Nagar and caters to the districts of Gautam Buddha Nagar, Hapur, Bulandshehar, Khurja, Jewar, Mathura and neighbouring areas.



    Standard of services:

    The hospital is functioning 24 hours a day, seven days a week, throughout the year. The hospital brings together physicians in all basic specialties, efficient administrators and specialized equipment to deliver high quality care to people with acute and chronic health conditions. We offer a wide range of services, including emergency care, scheduled surgeries, labour and delivery service, diagnostic testing, lab services, and patient education. Depending on their health situation, patients may receive in-patient or out-patient in the hospital.

    Covid care:

  • 1. As per the directions from the Govt of UP, Dept of Health and Medical Education, Govt of UP, letter no 228/71-1-2020-UO-71/2020 dated 28 January 2020, letter no ME-01/2020/1455 dated 03 may 2020 and guidelines on 21st May 2020. Government Institute of Medical Sciences (GIMS) Greater Noida has established 250 bedded dedicated Covid hospital.
  • 2. The institute has managed over 3000 Covid + patients after successful treatment. At present 40 patients are admitted in isolation ward. Gautam Buddha Nagar has the case fatality rate of <0.4% , which is minimum in the state of Uttar Pradesh.
  • 3. Diagnostic facilities Sample collection for whole GB Nagar GIMS has established the lab in record time of one week in on 12th Apr 2020 and has completed 4 Lakhs on 31 Dec 2020 True Nat Machine Rapid Antigen Test (RAT)
  • 4. Treatment facilities- GIMS is providing state of the Art treatment of Covid 19 patients since the first case of Covid reported in GB Nagar on 15 Mar 2020 and treated more than 3000 cases.
  • 5. Plasma therapy Donated 400 patients, 605 Recipient, > 87 % Success [ GIMS has maximum no of plasma therapy in the state]

    Responsibilities of users

    Provide accurate including patients present condition, past illness, hospitalization, medications, & any other matter that pertains to his/her health.

    Provide accurate personal particulars including patient full name and address.

    To abide by all policies/ rules & regulations of the hospital like:

    To comply with no- smoking policies.

    To be considerate of noise levels developed privacy & safety of other patients.

    Not to bring weapons in hospital Premises.

    To treat hospital staff, other patients & visitors with courtesy & respect.

    Not to give medication prescribed for him/her to others.

    To communicate with the healthcare provider if his/her condition worsens or does not follow the expected course.

    To pay for services billed in a timely manner as per the hospital policies.

    To respect that some other patients medical condition may be more urgent than yours and doctor may need to attend them first.

    The users are expected to maintain the cleanliness of the hospital and its premises.

    Violence and impatience is not allowed. Everyone is expected to follow the queue rules and covid precaution like social distancing, hand sanitization, wearing of face masks and cough hygiene.
