About the Department

The Department of Emergency Medicine serves as the first point of contact for critically ill and injured patients. The department is equipped to manage medical, surgical and trauma emergencies with rapid assessment, resuscitation and stabilization. Faculty and residents are trained in advanced life support, trauma care and disaster response.

In addition to patient care, the department actively participates in teaching and training of undergraduate students, junior residents and nursing staff in emergency protocols, triage systems and evidence-based acute care practices. Round-the-clock services ensure prompt and efficient emergency management.

Our Vision

To integrate recent advancements into medical curriculum teaching while developing emergency care areas, skills laboratories and simulation-based training facilities for education, patient care and research, thereby strengthening emergency and acute care services for the community.

Our Mission

To foster student growth through innovative teaching and prepare them for the field of Emergency Medicine. The department provides prompt protocol-based emergency care and essential diagnostic support to aid patient treatment while maintaining academic excellence, compassionate patient care and high ethical standards in both education and healthcare delivery.

Department Objectives

The Department of Emergency Medicine, GIMS Greater Noida, is committed to improving patient health, education and clinical preparedness through structured emergency care and training programmes.

  • Provide high-quality and timely emergency medical care to all patients.
  • Impart comprehensive education in Emergency Medicine to undergraduate students, residents and paramedical staff.
  • Promote and encourage basic and advanced clinical research activities.
  • Encourage academic publications by faculty members and residents.
  • Continuously improve emergency department infrastructure to support multidisciplinary care.
  • Ensure prompt and organized response during disaster situations and mass casualty events.
