Department of Obstetrics & Gynaecology at Government Institute of Medical Sciences, Greater Noida organized a Gynaecological Oncology CME with the theme “ Ovarian Malignancy Update” on 10th August 2019 under the aegis of UP State Chapter AGOI. Program was inaugurated by the Director, GIMS Dr. Brigadier Rakesh Gupta and many senior Gynaecology teachers from Delhi and NCR actively participated. Expert faculty speakers were Dr. Randeep Singh, DM Oncology Narayana hospital Gurugram, Dr. Nisha Singh -Professor OBG, KGMU Lucknow, Dr. Satinder Kaur -Gynae Oncologist Dharamshila super speciality Delhi and Dr. Sanjay Badesara. CME was attended by approx. 60 delegates including faculty from GIMS, Sharda University and other private practitioners of Greater Noida OBG Society (GNOGS).

The scientific sessions of the CME covered the diagnostic aspects and differentiation of various types of adnexal masses along with their management. Possible methods of risk assessment and risk reduction was also discussed in detail by the gynaecological oncology experts. The event was conceptualized for revitalizing the knowledge and updating it with latest evidence about the ovarian tumors for gynaecology practitioners. Video demonstration of the staging laparotomy steps and the panel discussion of managing ovarian masses were the most appreciated sessions where delegates interacted with the experts and cleared their doubts.
