About Department

The Department of Orthopaedics at GIMS provides round-the-clock services for fractures, poly-trauma, spine, joint disorders and orthopaedic emergencies. The department is actively involved in undergraduate and postgraduate teaching, skill-based training and research activities to improve functional outcomes and quality of life of patients.

Our Vision

To provide the best and affordable surgical healthcare to society, prepare young surgeons empowered with recent knowledge, skills and empathy, and to be a role model in teaching, surgery and research.

Our Mission

To establish an affordable tertiary care centre with excellence in medical education and research activities at par with recent trends, focusing on comprehensive orthopaedic care, innovation and patient-centric outcomes.
