About Department

The Department of Pathology at GIMS provides a full spectrum of diagnostic services including histopathology, cytology, hematology and clinical pathology. The department plays a central role in patient care by offering high quality reports, and is actively involved in teaching undergraduate and postgraduate students through case-based learning, microscopy sessions and integrated teaching with clinical disciplines.

To become a national leader in pathology education and diagnostics by leveraging innovative technologies, building a strong matrix-based academic and service structure, nurturing signature and priority partnership programs, and creating robust management and funding support for research, training and fellowships in pathology.

Our Mission

To deliver accessible, top-tier diagnostic services to the community; provide innovative lab support that enhances clinical outcomes; conduct and promote academic research and collaborations; and offer rich educational and scientific resources for students, residents and healthcare professionals across disciplines.
